Pets in GTA 6?

I thought they should have been a part of GTA 5 for the simple fact that strays a huge part of most American cities there days. Even if we can't own them, they should be a part of the world.

The more I thought about it, yeah it does seem like it should be a feature in the game at the very least have passive street pets. I know where I grew up, there were stray cats and dogs all over the place.

Wildlife roaming around from the start is already going to be a huge bonus to me. I don't need pets but I get the appeal. I just can't see them doing it unless they are completely cosmetic. They would get huge backlash if players were allowed to kill cats and dogs.
