Why is there a concern with GTA 6 being "woke"?

I know the basics of the term and like everything else, I think it is overused. I get the concern with some titles seeing all this gamergate 2 nonsense floating around but when it comes to GTA, it has always pushed the envelope and been equally offensive to everyone. Most people don't care about having one of the leads be a woman or that she is Latina. They have always had a diverse cast of characters in their games so it is a big nothing burger to me.

I just don't understand how anyone can think a game like GTA could ever go woke. Being woke implies political correctness will be heavy handed and in a game dealing with humor and crime, straight up criminals... You really can't do that without ruining the game.

This is tied to their changes IN OFFICE. I think this was already brought up here but people are being concerned over things that were changed in the work environment, not the game. I do think they did remove certain things from GTA 5 that were considered "transphobic" though. I think it was a few lines one of the characters said. I can't remember. This happened a while ago.

The only concern I have that is logical is that a lot of the people that worked on GTA5 and RDR2 have since left. I don't know if they quit, retired, or were fired. I can't find any information on it but when the main creative team behind any franchise just up and leaves, it can be an issue. Time will tell!

I don't see too many people with this concern. I think it is just people that are fed up with games they got excited for getting ruined by politics.

I can't blame them but I am not worried at all about GTA 6.

This gets brought up on most GTA discussion platforms be it a forum like this, social circles on X, or reddit. There will be concerns about it being ruined until the game actually gets released. There is not much you can do to convince people who have concerns that they shouldn't have any. The gaming industry has a lot of issues and political charged problems that do have to be fixed but that is fully on the industry itself. Money talks. If they keep losing money, they will eventually change direction. I doubt Rockstar is willing to lose money.
