Do you think Rockstar will enhance the longevity of story mode? If so, what areas need improvement?

In GTA V, once you've finished the story, there's not much left to do. Sure, you can tie up loose ends with strangers and freaks, and do Tonya's missions, but beyond that, the options are limited.

Making money after completing the story is also a challenge. While stocks are an option, if you want to have fun while earning cash, it's tough.

Moreover, there's a lack of vehicles and properties in story mode. If you want to fly an oppressor, for example, you're out of luck in story mode; it's only available online. Locking these items behind a paywall doesn't seem fair to some fans.

What improvements would you like to see?

I want them to actually do DLC for the story like they did in GTA 4. This will help big time and they can introduce new items this way too. Even if they only release something once a year, it would be better than nothing and so long as they don't overcharge for it. Maybe make it cost $20 or have it be included with GTA+ for free. Something like that.

I too think the only way to remedy this is with story mode DLC. They need to expand the story with new characters, maybe even some old faces?

GTA 5's story got old way too fast for me.

The only way to enhance it beyond the release version is to add single-player DLC. I am not sure they will or not cause they intended on doing it for GTA 5 and after 5 years of waiting they finally told people it isn't coming.

Do I think they will? No. And the reason I say that is because they will likely put even MORE focus on online this time around because they had such huge success with it. Why would they spend time and money on story DLC when only some players would even buy it?

The story itself needs to have enough going for it to retain attention. Maybe have some alternate endings again but also have certain paths throughout the story you can take to change what happens. This can add a lot of replay value for people.
