Radio Stations (You would like to see in GTA 6)

I was thinking about it and while the game does take place in Vice City, I think having new stations would be best. Maybe a few of the classics but mostly new for the change of times.

The old radio list for Vice City is:

Wildstyle - hip hop and electro
Flash FM - pop
K-Chat - celebrity talk station
Fever 105 - disco, soul, funk and R&B
V-Rock - hard rock and heavy metal
VCPR - public talk station
Radio Espantoso - Latin jazz, mambo, son, salsa and Latin funk
Emotion 98.3 - soft pop, power ballads and soft rock
Wave 103 - new wave, synthpop and post-punk
MP3 Player/Tape Deck - for custom music

We already know there is going to be more channels as well as more hip-hop and rap. Also, I think they should have a station be "connect to phone" and allow us to have our own playlist, for at least offline game play. Maybe make it so we can upload 16 songs or something to be on rotation.

So what are you thinking in terms of channels, genres, and names?

This is a good idea for a bit of creative fun. Given the location, I have a few ideas.

Neon City Radio - This can be for electric music. Can be a mix of new and old.
Sunset Soundwaves - This one can focus on general cruise music, the kind of stuff you can drive and vibe with.
Hustle & Flow FM - This would be a rap and hip-hop station that focuses on newer rap but in the classic style, not the mumble club nonsense.
Block Party Beats - Another rap/hip-hop station but this is for the club music, the stuff people like bumping in their cars and at parties.
Prism Pulse Radio - This is a pop station that has a collection of all the best pop songs from around the world, ballads and dance-pop.

They will need a Latin inspired one so maybe something like Salsa N Soul Radio that focuses on Latin soul and salsa music. Similar to what you would hear down there IRL in Miami.

I would like a solid alternative rock station that plays a lot of the music from the late '90s and early '00s. I am not sure what I would call it, I am not very good with names. The one in Miami IRL is called "The Shark" so maybe something similar to that?

Maybe something like WYII Radio and it stands for What Year Is It? , they have radio hits that took place during the previous game. So it would be nothing but 1980's hits.

They can just play on the older stations. So like this one for example, just change it to "Wildin' Out".

I feel like some of the OG stations will still be a part of the game though. Not entirely sure if they did that for GTA 5 though.

Radio X was changed to Channel X but I think the rest were all new. So Maybe they will do something like this for some of the channels but I am guessing because the game takes place so long ago (the OG one) that the area will just have new channels entirely.

I like the idea of having all new stations but I really don't want a lot of rap stuff. I think we will end up getting mostly rap though and then mixed in music I don't care to listen to. I hope the pop station is at least better than the one in GTA 5.

I just want an even mix. We have 22 in GTA 5 so maybe they will round it up to 25 or 30 for the next game.

I would like a channel for each main genre plus ones you would expect in Miami like a Latin channel.

So Alternative Rock, Metal, Punk, Pop, Rap/Hip-Hop, Country, Electronic, and so on.

Oh you are right. I did look at a list of the old ones and they axed all of them. It makes sense radio stations get bought and sold all the time in real life and get re-branded. I am still mad my favorite rock station became a sports channel. lol

I would love it if they allowed people to choose songs for one station every few months. Like maybe every 3 months allow us to have a choice in the songs that get added to one station. I am not sure how many they have per station, maybe 10 or 15? I can't recall but allow us to swap out 5 of those songs every 3 months and they can call the radio station something like Vice Choice or Vice Voice.

I have a feeling we're also going to see the inclusion of the "Phonk" genre this time around, given how popular it is in today's shorts/edits. Not to forget social media also plays a central role in GTA 6 from what we've seen. And, personally, I would love to see some Lofi radios, pop but something similar to what the band 'Cigarettes After Sex' produces, music similar to 'The Native Architects', 'BANNERS', 'Aquilo', and 'Stanaj', etc.

Something about listening to these types of songs with what I imagine to be beautiful scenery in GTA 6 would be magical!

This kind of music would be sweet to drive around to especially when the city is dark.

I forgot about that movie. The first track was on my playlist for a long time and I am going to have to add it back now. That song a lone would be good to add. Just more chill driving music in general would be good for sure.
