Introduce me to GTA

Hey everybody, I've been seeing ppl since my childhood playing GTA and GTA-hype is what I see up till now. I've never played it so it would be helpful if I could get some quality intro and the reason for the hype.

Are you interested in GTA as a whole or just GTA 5?

GTA has a long history and a lot of games to cover. The games have changed over the years to come to what it is today.

I know nothing about GTA or its purpose so a general intro with GTA 5 updates would be good.

Well the short of it is, GTA is a game about crime and being a criminal. Each game follows a different character in a different location that is based on a real life city in America. Vice City for example is Miami and GTA 6 will take place there but expanding into other areas of Florida as well.

In terms of history overall, this is the best video to watch for that but mind you... it is a long video:

GTA 5 is the latest game out for the franchise and while it came out over 10 years ago, the online space is still very active. Online basically allows you to play as a custom character criminal. You rank up, earn RP, in-game money, and are able to build your own criminal empire as you see fit. There are tons of missions, side games, and other activities to do and enjoy. Playing with others is a bonus. You can buy cars, weapons, clothing, accessories, criminal businesses and more. Most of what you do revolves around you being a criminal.

Well there are a lot of updates. I mean since 2014 they really packed things into the game. I think the best approach would be to look over guides for things you would be interested in. Start HERE with this one which will catch you up on everything. Let me know if you need help with anything
