Does anyone still play GTA 5 in 2024 (without mods)?

I am not including online because obviously people still play that! Plenty do.

I am talking about just offline single player mode. I don't know anyone honestly that plays it anymore unless they are using mods. I mean I am sure some people that are newer to the game might still be playing it. Like people that are playing it for free on PS+ which I think it is still up on, not 100% though.

I personally don't. I only play online. I have messed with mods but only on and off and not for awhile. I have a friend that does still play the story/offline mode though on a weekly basis. I don't know how he has fun without mods but that is just me. I prefer online games.

I do when I am in the mood for it. Probably a few times a year. I mostly will play with mods though if I am not playing online. They are just more fun. When I am not using mods and playing offline, I play on console.

I can't. I mean even with mods I just am not interested. I have done everything I could in the game. Online is still fun sometimes. It comes and goes in waves for me but I at this point I mostly play other things and I am just ready for the next game.

For sure. I rarely play GTA 5 nowadays. But when I do, I prefer to play the game's vanilla version. I just can't be bothered with the setting up part of the game, and switching from modded to vanilla, and vice versa, is a hassle to me ahah!

That seems like the most common complaint when it comes to mods. Like you have to always set up things and make sure everything is updated. I have used mods in the past that broke the game cause it was updated but the mods weren't. Most people I know personally still do play with mods though even with all the inconveniences.

Yeah. I've had instances where some files are either not fully installed or not fully uninstalled, leaving the game in a "broken" state. This caused me to reinstall the entire game again. So, I've decided just to avoid mods altogether. But I've played other games heavily modded, such as The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, cause of how easy it is to switch to Vanilla and Modded versions with a simple click - lots of mod accessibility on that game.

I am playing through the story again cause I got nothing else I want to play at the moment (offline anyways) so I figured it was a long time since I played the story, may as well! I am having fun with it. Not taking it too seriously.

I never played with mods. Some looked cool but I couldn't bother to set something like that up and I honestly didn't want to buy another copy of GTA 5. I already got two for two separate consoles. lol

I used to not like mods but I ended up trying a few and they can spice of the game. I don't do story mode mods, just freeplay ones. I have not desire to play the story again.

Once I my computer upgraded or another xbox replacement I definitely will get back into playing both V and online!

I played with some mods here and there. I got bored with those as well. I pretty much just play online and on console now. I know there is a lot you can do solo offline but I have seen and done everything I wanted.

Last time I played single player was probably like 3 maybe 4 years ago at this point. I have way more fun online. I see no point in playing single player once you have beaten the game and don't intend on playing the game modded.

I only just got into mods with GTA 5 so yeah been playing this whole time without them. I am just waiting for the new game at this point and burned myself out on all the others games so I am playing them all with mods now. Lot of fun!
