Maybe harassing is not the right word.

If you look on their recent posts, they are filled with people asking or demanding news on the new game. Are these accounts all bots or something? It seems like they are all saying the same few 4 to 7 words in every post. I had not been on the platform in awhile but it seems to be riddled with bots everywhere.

I have no idea. I wouldn't say they are all bots though. I have seen plenty of online spaces have so many toxic fans. Like GTA has some of the worse. When I found this place I was shocked to not see any of the BS I see on other forums. Happily joined.

It probably is a lot of bots. Part of the reason I stopped using my account was cause of them. Like I know bots were a major issue before Elon bought it but I feel like it has become worse than that this year.

That is just standard for Twitter/ X. The platform has been loaded with people that are just annoying for years. I used it back in the day and have not used it since like 2015. It got too political and people we getting banned for the dumbest reasons. I am sure they don't even look at their replies on there. I couldn't blame them for choosing not to.

People complain about everything and demand everything on that platform. I wish these stupid social media platforms would die off cause forums are way better for not only connecting with real people but allowing devs to really see what their fans think about games.

Same. People can be really annoying and petty on social media platforms. I slowly left them all over the years. I still have one with twitter but I use it to mostly just read. I don't interact with people.

Twitter has increasingly become one of those places where you either see something really wholesome (rarely nowadays) or just see nothing but annoying and entitled people complaining about EVERY single thing. I've thought about deleting my Twitter account a couple of times, but I need to be on it to keep track of the gaming industry!

Interacting with people on the internet has become a blessing and an absolute curse.

It has been this way for awhile. I noticed it getting bad back in like 2014. It is just way worse now because everything has become so polarizing and political. Like having an opinion about apple pie makes you a far right extremist or some other stupid BS. It has invaded every space on that platform because it is dominated by the chronically online.

I would not call this harassing. They are just being annoying pains in the butt. Like spoiled kids. Crap like...

"this isn't GTA 6 content!"

"where is the next GTA 6 trailer!?"

"no one cares about GTA 5 we want GTA 6!!"
This. People these days have become so entitled and it makes me cringe when I see a grown adult acting like a spoiled 5 year old child. Like I can't stand playing online games with kids but I have noticed a lot of these grown people are acting no different from them anymore!

Entitlement. Every update they post now gets dozens if not hundreds of replies demanding GTA 6 updates. We already know the game is coming out next year, so until they have something worth updating us on they will not drop anything.

I think it is just trendy to be annoying. I don't know when this started or how it even happened but I get a taste of it everywhere these days. They think they are being funny but when tons of people do it, it is just cringe.

"Chronically online" THAT was the word I was looking for. Thank you!

That is indeed the case with the people online. They're so busy being online that they've lost touch with reality, unfortunately!

People mistake how people are on social media for being reality. In contrast to the world population, such a small percentage of people are actually on these social platforms on a day to day basis.

The behavior that is seen is just set on repeat because people think this is how everyone is. That and a lot of people have sock puppet accounts and abuse them just to get things their way.

I have met some amazing people online and even established friendships from around the world of which last longer than the ones I had in high school but I have also met some of the most idiotic, racist, vile people online too.
