All GTA, all day, since 2012

From humble toaster to RTX 3080 powered beast, the rig that powers our GTA guides

Ever wondered what equipment we use to produce our guides?

When it comes to creating in-depth, high-quality guides for Grand Theft Auto 5, having the right equipment is crucial. But it wasn’t always this way for GTA BOOM’s own guide guru, Hassan Sajid.

Hassan started his journey with a simplistic setup, recording on an All-in-One HP Pavilion 23. It was affectionately referred to as the “Toaster” or the “Gameboy” on our older videos. You can check out the now-laughable specs on this antique here.

From a “toasty” start to a fiery present!

But even with the humble graphics of the Toaster, the quality of our guides shone through, receiving overwhelming support and appreciation from our viewers, both on the website and on Youtube. Thank you!

Quality transcends aesthetics.

Over the years, as our readership has grown, so did the technology behind our guides. Our commitment to delivering the most complete and helpful information for GTA players prompted constant upgrades. Now, here’s a glimpse into the powerhouse rig that fuels GTA BOOM’s current content:

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology B550 AORUS PRO AC.
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-Core Processor 3.8GHz.
  • Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) RAM.
  • GPU: PALIT GameRock Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10GB RGB.
  • SSD: Teamgroup 512GB M.2.
  • HDD: Seagate Barracuda SATA 1TB.
  • Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Razer Edition.
  • CPU Cooler: DeepCool Castle 360EX A-RGB Liquid Cooler.
  • Keyboard: Razer Huntsman V2 Optical Gaming Mechanical Keyboard.
  • Mouse: FanTech Zeus X5s Macro Pro Gaming Mouse.

While the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Razer case might seem appealing, Hassan advises against it due to potential syncing issues with Razer Synapse software and other Razer components. This can lead to problems like equipment not being properly detected. The only solution he’s found involves disconnecting the RGB elements from the motherboard, but that takes away the fun, doesn’t it?
