Grand Theft Auto 6 is the most anticipated game set to come out later this decade.
This Sunday just gone, a hacker gave everyone the shock of a lifetime with dozens of videos, of what’s believed to be in-development footage of GTA 6, being uploaded online.
Here’s what the original source from the GTAForums said:
Hi,
Here are 90 footage/clips from GTA 6.
Its possible i could leak more data soon, GTA 5 and 6 source code and assets, GTA 6 testing build.
The individual concerned spent hours fielding questions from skeptical users on the forums, and the hacker was seemingly more than happy to prove the legitimacy of the leaked GTA 6 footage and images. The source later asked someone from Rockstar Games and/or Take-Two Interactive to contact them. It’s believed that the hacker is trying to blackmail Rockstar by threatening to leak even more GTA 5 and 6 info.
TLDR; this isn’t your run-of-the-mill leaker – this is a crime, committed by a criminal.
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, who previously leaked info about the female protagonist for GTA 6, has explained just how serious the situation is on Twitter. Others have jumped in on the discussion, expressing their heartfelt sentiments for the situation over at Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive.
Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog, had some encouraging words to share to those who were “affected by the latest leak”.
To my fellow devs out there affected by the latest leak, know that while it feels overwhelming right now, it’ll pass. One day we’ll be playing your game, appreciating your craft, and the leaks will be relegated to a footnote on a Wikipedia page. Keep pushing. Keep making art. ♥️

We wholeheartedly agree with Neil.
Both Rockstar and Take-Two have yet to officially acknowledge the data breach, but the latter has already begun the long and arduous (if not pointless) process of trying to DMCA everything that got uploaded to the internet.
GTA 6 was officially confirmed earlier this year. Take-Two has zero plans to rush Rockstar but it does believe that GTA 6 will “set creative benchmarks“. Rockstar’s recent hiring push is presumed to have been for GTA 6.
