It would be awfully out of character for GTA Online not to mark the auspicious date of 4/20 – and not just because it has been doing it for years now. Smoke it, grow it, sell it, steal it; the multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto 5 has you interacting with grass in just about every conventional way short of baking it into a brownie, so this week is marked by a bunch of stoner bonuses.
Quite appropriately these latest set of weekly bonuses are headlined by Short Trips, a series of Contact Missions where you help Lamar and Franklin from the story mode get their legitimate cannabis business off the ground. Help keep Los Santos flying high, and earn double RP and GTA$ while you do it. Lamar’s other Contact Missions also pay out double GTA$ and quadruple RP.
Among the many options for clandestine Bikers Businesses available to MC Presidents, one of the most profitable and efficient is selling weed on the black market – which, ironically, seems to be undercutting Lamar and Franklin here, but we digress.
Biker Sell Missions, and not just the ones for weed, are paying out 2x rewards, making these a brilliant way to rack up some cash.
MC Clubhouse Work, Challenges, Contracts and Bar Resupply are piggybacking on that bonus rate just to give players some nice variety, and you can resupply Street Dealers for a double cash reward too. GTA+ subscribers can stack these further for a tidy 4X RP and GTA$ payout. That subscription just keeps getting more valuable.
Newer players who haven’t joined the 1% yet, now is the perfect time to kick off your Biker career – Biker Clubhouses and Businesses, as well as their upgrades and modifications, are all 30% off through April 24. Remember, those Businesses are crazy for GTA$, so you won’t regret the investment.
Players have the chance to unlock some special, thematic clothing items by performing specific actions during the duration of these bonuses. Grab the White High Brass Tee and Black High Brass Tee for completing a Bikers Sell Mission and a Short Trip, respectively, while the Black 4/20 Cap (and a bonus of GTA$ 100,000) can be yours for selling over GTA$ 100,000 worth of product as part of the Weekly Challenge.
Simply logging into the game anytime this week will unlock the Green 4/20 Dress and the Coil Earth Day Tee – funny how these coincide. Snacks are also replenished for free this week to help keep the munchies at bay. For those players who don’t vibe with all the weed business, you’ve got a chance to earn double rewards on the Overtime Rumble Adversary Mode.
